BIOGRAPHY:
MARGARET SAMMY is a Nigerian poet and social crusader. Born in 2004, she began writing poems at the age of 10, greatly influenced by her teacher. Margaret’s work depicts a girl’s will to write. She draws her inspiration from observing the Nigerian society and seeks to lend her voice towards child education, societal morals, and peace in societies. In February 2017, her devotion to poetry has yielded her first published collection of poems AMARYLLIS: HOW CAN I GO ON, which has been described as “suitable for poetry lovers of all ages. She is presently an eighth grade pupil of Green Oak International School, Port Harcourt.
